Nanga Mai Nominations Closing Soon!

There is just over two weeks left to nominate for the 2020 Nanga Mai Awards.

Nanga Mai is an Eora (Sydney) word meaning ‘to dream’.

The annual Nanga Mai Awards celebrate and recognise innovation, excellence and educational achievement in NSW public schools, communities and state offices. Please encourage department staff to nominate Aboriginal students, teachers and other department staff, Aboriginal community members and schools, demonstrating excellence across a diversity of areas.

In 2020 the awards will be held on Thursday 26 March in the Yallamundi Room, Sydney Opera House. Award winners receive a trophy and certificate as well as additional prizes.

Nominations close on Friday, 6 December 2019, please visit the Nanga Mai Awards website to nominate.

ATSIMA 2020 Conference

ATSIMA 2020 is the first mathematics education conference held in a Yolngu Community. It will provide delegates the opportunity to be immersed in a Yolngu Community, in Yolngu Language and Culture and explore the teaching and learning of mathematics that values Aborignal and Torres Strait Islander cultures.
