Communique - 1st State Meeting for 2026

The NSW Aboriginal Education Consultative Group’s State Committee held its 1st State Meeting for 2026 on Darkinjung Country, hosted by the Central Coast Regional AECG on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 June 2026.

The President provided an update on the work of the Secretariat, the priorities ahead for the organisation and our engagement at a state and national level.

Each Regional AECG that submitted a report was presented by the Regional Representative throughout the two-day meeting.

The President, Network Support Manager and Policy and Strategy Manager provided an update on the planned Super Regional Meetings.

The Director, Schools and Transition, Aboriginal Education and Communities Directorate gave a presentation on an Aboriginal Cultural Protocols document.

The State Committee was provided updates by each Manager on the services provided by the NSW AECG Secretariat.

The State Committee discussed the upcoming 50 Years of the NSW AECG and potential celebrations.
