Local AECG Support
About
The NSW AECG Early Years team is here to support Local AECGs to strengthen their engagement with early childhood education services within their communities.
By working together, we can ensure that early childhood services connect meaningfully with families, embed local culture every day, and build strong, culturally inclusive spaces for our Children.
Our team offers tailored support and guidance to help Locals engage with early childhood educators, access resources, and deliver targeted initiatives such as Early Childhood Connecting to Country and the Early Years Information Session.
Early Childhood Connection to Country
This support helps Local AECGs tailor their current Connecting to Country delivery to better suit the needs of early childhood educators they may be working with.
The NSW AECG Early Years team can help Locals adapt session content, structure, and delivery style so it’s more sector-relevant. This ensures that early childhood educators walk away with real strategies to embed culture and community into their everyday practice.
Early Years Information Sessions
The Early Years team can provide information sessions aimed at supporting the individual needs of Local AECGs to strengthen reciprocal partnerships with early childhood services in their communities.
Sessions can explore practical ways to invite services to Local meetings, highlight the benefits of collaboration, and discuss how these partnerships can better support our Aboriginal children and families. It also provides guidance on effective ways to report, record, and communicate outcomes from these connections.
