Aboriginal Culture and Literacy Program

The Aboriginal Culture and Literacy Program is a two day program, facilitated by the NSW AECG for school students to enhance their literacy and writing skills in a cultural context.

On the first day of the program the students will go on country to an Aboriginal site or participate in a cultural activity. The following day will be delivered in the classroom; the students will further their literacy development and complete activities in relation to the previous day
Event: Aboriginal Culture and Literacy Program
Target Group: Aboriginal students K-10 (maximum numbers of students 40, minimum 5)
Cost: $50 per head
Lunch: Lunch will be provided for both days
On Country learning: To be negotiated
Transport: May be negotiated on request
Supervision: Schools to provide a supervising teacher
