The 2023 Inaugural Hunter Indigenous Vocal Scholarship

The Music Teachers’ Association of NSW, Newcastle Committee, presents the inaugural 2023 Hunter Indigenous Vocal Scholarship. Check your eligibility & register your interest by 16th June 2023. Finalists selected by video audition. Award contested live July 29th.

The Newcastle Branch of The Music Teachers’ Association of NSW (MTA NSW) is thrilled to announce the inaugural Hunter Indigenous
Vocal Scholarship.

This incredible opportunity will see six Hunter Indigenous students compete for this valuable scholarship.

Selected finalists chosen by a panel from video submission will sing live at Christ Church Cathedral before an adjudicator, with the winner awarded $2000 for their continued vocal tuition.

Please read about how and when to submit an application for consideration. Video auditions must be received by Friday 16th June, with the live final scheduled for Saturday 29th July.
